Finding a church, let alone a good church, can always be a challenge, but coming to St. Luke’s was like coming home. With a strong community built on faith, kindness, and love, it feels like coming home after a long day and taking off a heavy load.
We were encouraged to believe and to explore our faith, ask questions, tackle the difficult topics we face day to day, and to grow in understanding of how faith intersects with every point in our lives. It’s been such a blessing to witness such growth in myself while at this church, but also in others, getting to know them, making friends, and truly building a community here in Colorado.
I first found St. Luke’s through a Google search. I knew I was looking for a Lutheran Church. That was how I was raised, and I knew I was looking for the wooden pew and the down-to-earth traditional feel.
Within a few moments of walking in, I knew I was home. This community, the people there, and the pastor are phenomenal! They are there for you, cheering you on, and they truly care. It is beautiful!
Getting to fall back on my roots and come into my faith as a young adult, in my own capacity, and truly learn to follow the Lord has been a blessing. Geeting to ask those hard questions and hit those hard topics with Pastor and the rest of the congregation has been truly and experience like no other.
I can’t recommend it enough; take the chance, dive into deep water, and test your faith. You are a stronger swimmer than you think.
Here at St. Luke’s community means family. There is so much love and so much care. They truly care about you and help you grow and become a better version of yourself through faith and discipleship. I am so blessed to have made so many friends in the community and bring friends to church. It has been such a lovely experience, and I can’t fathom leaving.
After service, the most familial gathering for Bible Study is always the highlight of my week. We are hitting topics that will always strike home. With great company and good food, it is a place to really grow, ask hard questions, and not shy away from things that don’t make sense. We are encouraged to ask questions and dive deeper into our faith and how it shows up in our day-today.
